All about me
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Mrs. Belasco and I will be your child’s teacher for the 2013-2014 school year. I would like to take a moment to introduce myself.
First, I would like to say how excited I am to be teaching your child! This is my seventh year teaching in Colonial School District. During my time here at Pleasantville I have taught both Kindergarten and First Grade. I am proud to say that I received my Masters in Elementary Education from Wilmington University in 2007.
I also graduated from the University of Delaware in 2005 with a Bachelors of Science in Business/Finance. I spent most of my life surrounded by children since my mother had an in-home childcare center. I spent every summer at the pool with them to help my mom, and eventually began coaching the swim team. After graduating from the University of Delaware and working for ING Direct for a short time, I soon realized that I was meant to spend my life working with children! This is why I went back to school for my Masters.
I was married in July of 2012 to my fun-loving husband Ryan and am excited to someday have children of our own. As for now, my husband and I share two super cool dogs and a four and a half foot long iguana!
I cannot wait to get to know each and every one of my students! I am excited to accompany them as they begin their journey into reading. We are going to have a fun-filled year full of hands-on learning. I will go into much more detail about our curriculum at Open House.
If you need to contact me for any reason throughout the school year please email (preferred), call, or send a note.
Last, but not least, please remember that YOU are the most important part of your child’s life! I look forward to working with you to make this a successful year to remember!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Nicole Belasco
